Summary:
We are seeking a Trimble Field Specialist to support electrical construction projects through precise field layout, GPS point staking, data collection, and technology implementation. This role is responsible for utilizing Trimble equipment to ensure accurate installation of electrical infrastructure including conduit systems, duct banks, pole light foundations, equipment pads, and above-ground installations. The position also plays a key role in leading Trimble adoption and training across field crews.

Responsibilities:
- Perform field layout and stake/locate GPS points for electrical construction including conduit runs, duct banks, pole light foundations, equipment pads, structures, and site utilities
- Load, manage, and verify digital design files, surfaces, and coordinate data in Trimble data collectors
- Interpret electrical construction drawings and translate them into accurate layout points, offsets, and control
- Establish, verify, and maintain horizontal and vertical control using Trimble GPS/GNSS and robotic total stations
- Verify alignment, elevations, and installation tolerances for both underground and above-ground work
- Capture, verify, and maintain accurate as-built data for installed electrical infrastructure
- Provide clear layout and control guidance to foremen, operators, and field crews
- Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to resolve layout discrepancies and design issues
- Maintain, calibrate, and manage Trimble equipment and field technology
Trimble Training & Technology Leadership:
- Serve as the primary field expert for Trimble equipment and workflows
- Train and support field crews in GPS point staking, layout procedures, and Trimble data collection workflows
- Lead implementation of Trimble-based processes for layout, grade control, and as-builts
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in real-time on job sites
- Help develop and standardize Trimble workflows across projects
- Stay current with Trimble updates, features, and emerging construction technologies
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years' experience in construction layout, surveying, or electrical construction
- Hands-on experience with Trimble equipment (GPS, total station, data collectors)
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, coordinate-based layout, and field practices
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment
- Strong communication skills with field crews and project leadership
- Experience with electrical infrastructure (conduit systems, substations, site distribution, or industrial installations)
- Familiarity with Trimble Access, Trimble Business Center, and/or machine control systems
- Experience training or mentoring field personnel
- Basic CAD or plan review experience
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
