Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Fleet & Equipment Manager to oversee our company’s vehicles, tools, and construction equipment across multiple job sites. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge who can ensure our fleet is safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance to support construction projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of company vehicles, trailers, and construction equipment
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support diagnostics when needed
  • Track and analyze fleet performance, utilization, and maintenance costs
  • Manage fleet management systems, telematics, and maintenance tracking tools
  • Coordinate repairs with internal teams and external vendors
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards
  • Maintain accurate records for inspections, registrations, and maintenance history
  • Support job sites by ensuring timely availability of tools and equipment
  • Assist with purchasing, replacement planning, and lifecycle management of fleet assets
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience managing fleet and/or construction equipment
Strong technical knowledge of vehicles, diesel engines, trailers, and jobsite equipment
Experience with fleet management software and telematics systems
Working knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in electrical contracting or construction
Technical certifications (ASE, CDL, or similar)
Familiarity with preventative and predictive maintenance practices

Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
Ability to work in confined spaces when required
Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching
